I like to talk about, and play with philosophy but also understand that nothing in it is proven or explicitly concrete. Atheism is based in concrete thinking based on fact (Knowledge or information based on real occurrences, Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed: Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer was a real person is an undisputed fact.) rather than hypothetical philosophical thinking. Religion is a somewhat concrete way of thinking that uses faith (Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence.) as fact. Philosophy leans toward the view that it cannot be proven and isn't concrete thinking that is based in absolutism. "All belief systems are plausible but none are provable, not even a concrete system of belief", but then that would be the philosophical approach.

The definition of philosophy is:
Love and pursuit of wisdom by intellectual means and moral self-discipline.
Investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods.
A system of thought based on or involving such inquiry: the philosophy of Hume.
The critical analysis of fundamental assumptions or beliefs.
The disciplines presented in university curriculums of science and the liberal arts, except medicine, law, and theology.
The discipline comprising logic, ethics, aesthetics, metaphysics, and epistemology.
A set of ideas or beliefs relating to a particular field or activity; an underlying theory: an original philosophy of advertising.
A system of values by which one lives: has an unusual philosophy of life.


The difinition of Atheism is:

Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods.
The doctrine that there is no God or gods.

The definition of Religion is:

Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

The Atheist approach would be to use science and logic as its base of proof. Religion would use quasi-concrete thinking and faith to base its proof. Philosophy is something that constantly hedges the absolute.

Does this make one correct and one not correct? No. They are based in their own type of thinking styles. Atheism is based on looking at concrete facts such as science, Religion looks at some facts but also proposes a faith based system, Philosophy questions all facts and faith. It's like this, Philosophy is the world's stretchiest panty hose, Athiesm is the box, Religion is the box with an unbrella over it just in case it rains.

In philosophy one can use analogy, logic, science, reason, and various things in looking at a the plausible. But a philosopher can neither prove or disprove what they consider. There is always the possible unknown. If you are comfortable with having no absolutes, no concrete, no umbrella as it were to protect you from the unknown then you are heading toward philosophy and it's way of thinking.

Philosophy often deals with Impermanence and Permanence but has no absolute evidence to support either claim. In some ways if you are into philosophy you learn to be comfortable with no answers, or rare answers if at all. You become willing to live with uncertainty, instability, shifting, changing, impermanent ideas that may or may not help you in any given part of your daily life, if life exists at all, if you exist at all, if daily life exists at all, and so on.

So if you come to my channel and believe what I'm saying is absolute you likely fall into the category of Atheism or Religion, or some other form of belief system. Take everything with a grain of salt (unseriously) but take the grain of salt very seriously, lol.
