Fight Everyone was formed in April of 2004 when a friend of theirs named Beaver had an idea to form a Path of Resistance style band in the Los Angeles area. After gathering a bunch of Straight Edge guys together, things didn't work out but the seed of a band seemed like it had been sowed.
Flash forward a year and singer Zack Whitmer still had thoughts of what might have been. He started discussing the prospect of playing again with drummer Rhett Hornberger and fellow vocalist Mikee Domingo. After seeing Will Morlan perform in the band One Round Left, they approached Morlan about singing for their new band and for all intents and purposes, Fight Everyone was formed.
Shortly after this they picked up guitarist Taylor Young, the drummer for One Round Left, who quickly got to work writing three songs in short order. This was before Fight Everyone had even practiced. Once the band got some momentum, everything fell into place. Logan Whitmer (Zacks brother) was brought in to handle sampling duties, Brandon Baker was enlisted to play bass and they rounded out the lineup with second guitarist Wes Daggett.
Mixing influences like Earth Crisis, Buried Alive and Meurader, Fight Everyone combines very hard driving sounds with a tip of the hat to various styles of hardcore. The band has already shared the stage with such hardcore acts as: The Warriors, Death By Stereo, Ramallah and a host of others.
With a new bass player, the future for Fight Everyone keeps getting brighter as they recently signed with New Age Records to release a 5 song EP.
The label has been reinvigorated over the past few years and Fight Everyone are a perfect fit for that. Stated label founder and owner, Mike Hartsfield. Very few bands that come my way remind me why I started this label back in 1988. Fight Everyone, from the moment I heard them, made me realize why I still do it.
Fight Everyones debut EP will be in stores Jan 9th. 2007.
