Yep, I feel sorry for those poor soldiers too that they had to die for someone's ambition. They are victims of nationalistic provokation which is only a fool's game. They were always persuaded to fight against whom were so called 'enemy' at that time and some ruling elites were just cashing in big time. If you only hear negative news about one nation all the time, you would be implicitly led to believe the whole nation is evil, and the people are your enemies.

But yea, I actually have alot of arguments with my parents because I feel they are too biased in defending everything about china. But I am still proud of course being Chinese. I just get slightly annoyed when someone who just sees that I'm Chinese immediately jumps to conclusion that I'm ignorant and brainwashed (despite the fact that I grew up in America and was educated here since I was five), and starts preaching to me saying that I'm being "selective in my humanity".
