Did you know..? ; The White Stripes are the most famous rock band with polish roots.

On the song "Let's shake hands" Meg plays without her left hand.

"Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" was actually recorded for (but not included) the debut album with a slitghly different structure and without distortion.

"I think I smell a rat" has roots in an unreleased White Stripes' song called "That's Where It's At" and is one of Meg's favorite songs to play live.

Astro was written the day before it was recorded.

Jack calls "Grinnin' in your face" his favorite song of all-time and often interpolates it in their sets.

When the video "The Hardest Button To Button" was directed, they used 33 sets of drums and 30 amplifiers.

"Wasting My Time" was listed as "Letter" on earlier setlist, until Jack and Meg stopped believing in setlist in mid-2000.

The piano played on "Apple Blossom" (on the record) was a piano rescued from a Catholic grade school in Detroit. Its the same piano you can hear Jack knock on in "Sugar Never Tasted So Good". Live, Jack plays it on electric piano.

"Ball and Biscuit" is the longest song the White Stripes has recorded. It takes it's name from a microphone found at the Toe Rag Studios.

The riff on the song "Seven Nation Army" was written at a soundcheck in Australia in January 2002. It won a Grammy for Best Rock Song in 2004.
