A Heinz Deli Style Mayonnaise advertisement has recently been pulled off the air in the UK after it received 200 complaints. This is extremely disconcerting as UK television audiences receive multiple millions of viewers at any one time, and yet just 200 narrow-minded people have the power to sway what can or cannot be seen on television.

Could it be possible that Heinz would listen to 200 homophobic people, and yet not listen to the signatories amounting already in their thousands wanting the ad re-instated, even threatening to boycott Heinz products? Lets hope not.
Furthermore, if you read the company's Communication Guidelines, section 1. f. states that "Minorities and other groups should be included as positive role models. Social stereotyping must be avoided."

And how the hell could YouTube's editor allow for a video in which the term "fucking faggot" to be promoted on the front page of YouTube? Its quite beyond me. Even worse is the fact that the video was ironically defending the editor from some apparent hate that has gone his way.
Hypothetically, if the editor of a major metropolitan NEWSPAPER were to publish on their front page a defense to negativity towards them, a defense which contained such inflammatory bigoted insults such as "fucking faggots", there would be grounds for possible dismissal and even statutory charges in line with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Press Council (APC) and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). This is the Internet however, and such regulations don't apply. Should they?

The channel on which the video is located appears to be under the control of controversial Islamic cleric Sheik Haron, who is also rumoured by Federal Police to possibly be a fake, as there is an evident lack of appearances by the man in question.
I'm not being racist or offending any religion, simply pointing out the incredible irony of her statement made behind a veil.
