It's not that simple and you obviously don't know what neoliberal means, since it has very little to do with the traditional (or modern) American liberal ideology. Kucinich is liberal, but quite the opposite of neoliberal, for example. Neoliberal is more what economists like Milton Friedman believe in, namely free trade, privatization of state-owned industries, a small role for government in the economy, fiscal conservatism, cutbacks to the "welfare state," etc. It's somewhat closer to conservative American libertarianism, though I think the latter aren't usually as pro-"globalization" as the neoliberals are, to put it mildly.

These are all great Americans that preferred to be Americans over being Mexican. I'm more then willing to shier this country with anyone who wants to be an American. But when it comes to people waving another countries flag and saying that they're taking this land for themselves. That's where my compassion ends. I swear you neo-liberals have lost your minds. If you want to be an American then come be an American. If you want to be a Mexican then you can live in Mexico. |

That's like saying that we shouldn't have formed America because it wasn't our land!!! Do you think America is a bad place that never should have been created? What is going through your head man? The Texas Revolution was commenced by All races and creeds of men that wanted their independence! Jesus Christ man where does it end with you people???

Well said about the Texas/Mexico war issue on the Kooch channel. I thought about putting in my two cents on the debate as my sense of the history seems to be similar to yours. But you seem to know the issues better. The main thing I find silly and which I'm rather sick of is people blaming immigrants for the problems this country has when most places with the largest number of immigrants can see how they're contributing so much more than they're getting back these days. For alot of communities I guess it may seem likeit's always been that way, but the backlash has gotten alot worse since 9/11 and especially in the last 1-1.5 years. We need a new civil rights movement today. Cheers.

the texans didn't steal anything. I know my history. You seem to be biased. There was a border dispute and rather then settle it in an adult fashion the Mexican army came and started killing Americans. Texas was trying to form it's own country WITH Hispanics and other immigrants. Why should they have had to pay taxes to another government.. Don't criticize me for bringing up what Dennis is so conveniently leaving out for political purposes
