The thing about the military blocking access to youtube, myspace, and some other file sharing sites is that it isn't new. They've done that for at least a year and a half. The computers they block them on are official government computers and the reasons are mostly fear of viruses, altho bandwidth and security are also issues. It's more a stupid approach than it is meant as censorship. For the last few years before that they had an "allow by exception" policy which basically meant they blocked almost all web sites. You can use proxies for things like yahoo messenger, but not for youtube or myspace. I'm not particularly outraged about it... just damned tired, really. Almost everything the military does along these lines is pretty dumb.
