Gator, I don't have a problem with you. I took your comment to say, "The only reason they even try to save a combatant's life is to interrogate and torture them," while wagging your finger back and forth.
The corpsmen in Iraq, as do many service members, treat the natives, and even the insurgents, with humility. War is fucked up. These are mostly kids, 18-20 years old. They miss their families; they crave American food (cheeseburgers), and constantly dream of simply holding their girlfriend's hand. They aren't cold blooded murders. They don't enjoy shooting other people. They are very compassionate. It is their morals and ethics that save lives...a code or creed, not mere strategy. So I retract, post comments and forgive me for being unfriendly.
