I know that not all the original meanings for the songs and music or visual material for that matter; will be interpreted as was originally intended by the composers, directors etc involved.

However that is quite deliberate as I have used the themes of my work to fit the music my way, often from a completely diffirent creative standpoint.

For example

U2's "Mother of the Disappeared."

I am aware of Gen Augusto Pinochet the atrocities, Salvador and the feelings that may go along with all those who had loved ones dissapear. I would not have the audacity nor could I begin to console the souls devastation they must go through.

In the case of the Battlestar Galactica Video. I have transposed it to mean something else (although not completely) for the purposes of the video. It relates albeit in science fiction terms to the war against humanity and the robotic attitudes of those in power. The helpless feelings of those losing loved ones and the rebellion against those in power that may almost seem futile. Yet still those that are loved are lost and often with no knowledge of what happened just a emptiness and devastation at the loss. It is in no way meant to denegrate a great song or its original meaning. It is simply that such great works can be interpreted as art and as such art can be used across many mediums and interpreted accordingly.

Mother of the Dissapeared is only one example of this. I do hope that this hasn't offended anyone viewing my work; this was truly not my intention. I apologise in advance to anyone watching anything I have revised or created that may have been upset by it.
