i read books, watch telly and is pretty much facinated in the history of this planet.
i have applied for the royal marines and i am personally training myself to get fit for the PRMC and eventually RT, so if anyone is in the same position or is currently in training, add a comment and get in touch if you want - pain is temporary, the green beret is forever.

No not yet. My PRMC briefing is on the 24th October. When is yours?

What does your training program look like? How many times a week do you perfrom press-ups etc

That's what I'm saying about AACC. If I didn't get the para run the first time at ADSC but got a line infantry time, I could join 2,3,4 rifles then after a few years when I'm fuckin' awesome at running and super fit. I can transfer to 1 rifles and do AACC.

Yeah I'm gonna put it down as option 2 I think. I'm working hard at the gym, just got back after 2 hours. See if I can nail p coy, if not. I'll do rifles and take it a step at a time.

Been thinking about joining the rifles then eventually joining 1 rifles 3 commando brg, don't know yet...

Yo mate; I see you're not too far off Marine selection. Nice one. I go on PARA selection on November 10.

Haven't fired anything yet, it's all familiarization and safety drills. Eg checking the breach, block and chamber for any rounds, then releasing the springs by aiming at the roof and pulling the trigger. Not sure how long until live firing, but can't fuckin' wait!

I can now strip and SA80 and put it back together faster than Dwayne Chamber can run 200m.
