And the fact that Quebecois francophones come from a mixture of ethnic backgrounds does not make Quebec nationalists like yourself any less racist or any more tolerant. EVERY ethnic group comes from a diverse mixture. If it was not for Anglo-Saxon (that's right) and Norman settlers mixing with the Gaelic natives of Ireland after 1169 you would not have the Irish people of today. The same can be said for the Protestant planters of Ulster. the French themselves are of an enormously diverse ethnic background. That is one thing among many that ethnic nationalists like yourself just do not get: separating territory and creating nation-states for one particular ethnic or racial group is crazy because we are all inter-related. Honestly you want to seperate from the freest and wealthiest nation of the world, and why because you don't want to live around Anglophones. Wake up dude, honestly!

Most Quebeckers won't surrender that to live in some ethno-centric nation-state, face up to it. If you're style of nationalism were tolerant and not exclusive than you would accept every ethnic and cultural tradition of Quebec, including those of Anglophones. Again if the FLQ hadn't of murdered civilians (which they did that wasn't the RCMP) than they're suspected sympathizers never would have been arrested. Actually no one ethnic group makes up the majority in this nation of ours, so in a way we are all minorities. Maybe that is a good thing, it allows us all to have equal balance in multiculturalism. By the way you DID refer to race quit a few times actually when refering to Quebecois francophones and anglophones! As a citizen of Canada you enjoy complete political freedom, more so than people anywhere in the world.
