Hey guys-
just wanted to drop a line cuz i haven't been on consistently for a while. i'm mad i missed that james mcavoy contest but I am definitely entering the next one! since atonement has come out on DVD i've watched it about 100 times and it's still as wonderful as the first time i saw it in theaters. so i hope everyone has a great day. :) |

I totally agree w/you my dear and I am mad as hell. I think Joe and Keira were probably sitting at home warm in their beds (separately of course), drinking a hot cup of tea and laughing at the idiots at the Oscars. I know I was. ^^

I'm beyond disappointed--I am DEVASTATED (and Flora, I'm barely breathing). Tilda Swinton did not deserve Best Supporting Actress, her performance was nothing compared to Saoirse's (who, by the way, looked so cute that adorable dress). I'm still in shock that Atonement didn't win Best Picture. I really thought it would, considering it won for the Golden Globes and BAFTA. The Academy hates Atonement, Joe Wright, Keira Knightley, and poor James. I'm sure No Country For Old Men was well made, but who wants to go see a movie about a psycho murderer? I know I don't. Thank god Atonement won Best Score, or there wouldn't be any justice in this world. But Atonement deserved Best Art Direction, Cinematography, Costume Design, and Writing (Adapted Screenplay). God I'm mad. And does any one know where Keira and Joe Wright were???

Hi Abby; just checking to see if you're alright. Since Atonement didn't win B.P. and darling Saoirse Ronan was also ignored I wanted to see if you're still breathing hahaha. I know we are all very, very, very disappointed... :(
