And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc,) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or other dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc) and to draw their veils all over Juyubhinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc) and not reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands fathers, their son, their husbands sons, their brothers or their brothers sons, or their sisters sons or their Muslim women (i.e. their sisters in Islam) or their female slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide or their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, o believers, that you may be successful.

A Beautiful Dua
"O Allah, make my love for You the most beloved thing to me, and my fear for You the most fearful thing to me, and remove from me all worldly needs and wants by instilling a passion for meeting You, and when You have given the people of the world the pleasures of their world, make the coolness of my eyes (pleasure) in worshipping You." Ameen

"We indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. But celebrate the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. And serve your Lord until there comes to you the Hour that is certain (i.e death)" (15:97-99).

Abu Hurairah narrated that the messenger of Allah said:
"Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent..."
related by Bukhari and Muslim

There is no poverty worse than ignorance Seek knowledge from cradle to grave. Most importantly, Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim. (be it man or woman.

Hold fast to the qualities enjoined by your religion and keep to the path of your Prophet so that you will prosper in this life and in the life Hereafter.

Hadith Qudsi 15 (An Nawawi):
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"Allah the Almighty said: "I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.""

It was related by al-Buhkari (also by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah).

My Dua to Allah
Oh Allah!
Our Lord so Great,
Grant us Mercy, while were in this state,
Our minds being brainwashed,
Our souls seduced,
Protect us from shaitan while he runs loose.
Oh Forgiving Lord,
Please save us from the fire.
Protect our souls at night when we retire.
Oh Guardian Lord,
I know angels guard us every day.
Its only by Your Mercy, if things come our way.
I ask you - Oh Allah,
As I remember You always,
To forgive me if I sin,
And help me give You all the praise.
You do not like shirk,
And all praise is due to You,
Please purify my heart, So I can be true.
Blot out all my sins, Help me through the pain.
Guide me with the Quran, So my heart wont stain.
I need you Lord, Please never let me go.
I submit to Your will, And hope through practice
That I grow.

"Hold fast, all together by the rope which Allah stretches out for you, and be not divided amongst yourselves" (Surah al-Imran). The state of the Ummah today is such that we only seem to unite when we are faced with problems or calamities. Otherwise, we argue over petty issues and look down upon those who belong to social groups or cultures which are different from ours. If only we would reflect upon the fact that Islam is a complete way of life, that Allah created us as equals (except in terms of piety), as one brotherhood, as ONE UMMAH, that life in this world is temporary and the only certainty is death we'd be more inclined to follow our deen and seek Allah's pleasure for our true life which begins in the Akhirah. Open your eyes people and recognise THE TRUTH..you don't have to go far to find it..just read the Qur'an-the book full of noor and hidayah. May Allah guide us all, ameen!
