BIOGRAPHY
From the streets of Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, AHMIR is the premiere, up and coming male R&B group with a rapidly growing national and global fan base. "They're Next" is the fitting title BILLBOARD magazine labeled this R&B foursome in their featured article detailing their rising success. With influences ranging from Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Carl Thomas, Donny Hathaway, Jagged Edge, and D'Angelo, AHMIR brings urban and classic R&B sounds together to reflect the wide range of feelings and emotions we all experience. First formed in 2002, the members of AHMIR consist of "Sing-Sing", "Big Mike", "Mr. Jones" and "KC".

The music of AHMIR is a delicate balance of timeless ballads and catchy club singles. Their first single "Welcome To My Party" became the 19 Top Selling Single on the BILLBOARD HOT R&B/HIP HOP SINGLES SALES YEAR-END 2006 Chart. The single charted for 13 consecutive weeks reaching a peak position of 3. NIELSEN SOUNDSCAN reported strong sales in several major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, and Houston. Their ballad "No Place Like Home" has won several songwriting competitions including the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION and the USA SONGWRITING COMPETITION.

AHMIR has opened for such major recording artists as John Legend, Busta Rhymes, 112, Jagged Edge, Boyz II Men and more and have been the recipient of multiple national/local awards and accolades for "Best R&B Group".

" ...'THE GIFT' drops right into that urban R&B groove & follows right into some tasteful slow jams in "The Wedding Song", "Who Ya Gonna Call", "She's Over Me", & "True Love". "Cloud 9" (especially this!) grabbed my attention span so strong, my immediate purchase of their MP3's off Amazon became reality!! The rhythm & grooves presented and showcased was admirable to say the least! You are talking about 20 tracks of total flavor (2 not included on current CD)! And I do mean a well produced project at that! 2 tracks I stumbled across that I didn't see on their album - "Come In Out Of The Rain", & "The Right Night" were the bomb!! Well executed slow cuts ...well done! "Outro" shared into the making of the album, with the lead singer explaining their times of getting this masterpiece of a project out into the stores - finally having their album available to the public.
