I'm a writer (mystery sci-fi with a good dose of humor, other books too), graphic artist (digital prints, cartoons, you name it), designer (games, toys, books, etc.), and a professor of visual communications.

I've been working for a long time so I've had tons of stuff published and produced in all different media. All of my work can be seen on my website.

Películas y espectáculos: I grew up on early television and so funny to me has always meant serious looking men acting like fools (Steve Allen, Sid Caesar, Victor Borge, Ernie Kovacs). That's why I created the character of the Dignified Buffoon for the first two series here. Other than that, I like any TV that's cleverly written. Plus, of course, all good movies from any culture or era...part of what I teach. Don't tell my students but I secretly will watch - and enjoy - any movie that takes place on a beach.
Música: Everything and anything from anywhere on the planet where people make music. But especially anything even vaguely Latin...Brazilian jazz, samba, bossa nova, ska, etc.
Libros: I love the work of any author who plays with language but still tells a good story...so Nabokov, Borges, Waugh, Sebald, etc. And, naturally, I like sci-fi writers who make me laugh and cry at the same time (what I try to do in my own work) like Vonnegut, Clarke, Lem, Wells, Dick.
