THE PRICE OF FRIENDSHIP
Can anyone tell me what the answer is?
Up until recently I taught I knew,
Honor, Loyalty, Self Sacrifice are among
some of the words that pop into my mind.
My ever confused mind. Some of you may
or may not understand what I write about.

Recently I suffered a vicious assault,
this assault left me scared and bruised,
as well as feeling totally betrayed.
The outcome has yet to play itself through.

Busted teeth, half an ear missing,
32 stitches, split lip. In surgery for the
next 3 years, never mind the trauma clinic.
All by someone whom I took under my wing,
protected, fought for, welcomed into my
home, and even called them my best friend.

And why?
Good question!
One I hope might someday be answered for me.

So I ask, What is true friendship?
And how much does it really cost?
Will I find it in here?
or Bebo (No longer exists - Deleted).
Or MySpace?
I don't know!
I feel betrayed, filled with rage!
Hurt, and confused. I ask myself,
Why the fuck am I sitting here writing
all this shit? Who really gives a fuck?
Do you? Do you really?
Do any of use really know each other from a
once a week comment? For now, I will try and
mend, be told by doctors how much plastic
surgery I need, and how much counseling and
therapy I will receive.

I'll finish with this thought,

Are any of us truly friends?
Or do we all live life's of lies and deceit.
