Have you forgotten the Second Great Patriotic War (WW2 in the East)? It is only because the Wehrmacht was smashed by Marshal Zhukov that the American/British advances in the West were possible. In any case, no Russian wishes to be an American. We have our own Orthodox culture and civilisation, thank you very much, and we do NOT wish to adopt yours (and that counts those of us who live in the West).

I find that Americans are peevish whiners whenever they are not bowed and scraped to by others. Live as you will, and we shall live as we will. That is all we ask. However, we shall never cower to you, nor shall we abandon our beautiful culture for your money-grubbing and godless American "democracy".
