Keep up the good work guys. I recently purchased a 73 MG B and really have no experience other then changing brake pads and oil when it comes to cars.

Part of the reasoning behind the purchase was to learn more about working cars and as a bonus I get this fun toy I get drive:)

Your videos are an absolute godsend. I've learned a bunch so far watching them.

Thanks a bunch,

Love the Videos. Video filming is better than mine. I will have to get myself a camera person rather than doing it myself.

Keep up the good work.

There isnt many young people in the UK who work on their own cars other than fit big loudspeakers and oversize exhausts.

It will be a real shame that all the skilled (good engineers) are in their retirement years. What a great loss when there gone.

Video on oil coolers and thermostats would be a good addition.

Great channel John, I've been a mechanic since the late 70's and love what your doing here for everyone. Many folks may not realize it, but great old-school mechanics, like John, stay in the trade because they enjoy helping people and the job satisfaction that follows. That's certainly clear with what your doing here on youtube my friend.

Having cut my teeth, so to speak, working on British cars. I especially enjoy watching all the videos here with all the models. One comment I'd like to add though about smog inspections. In some states, like California, you can register your vehicle as a Historical Vehicle with different plates and you never need another smog inspection if you drive it for pleasure and to car shows, etc. Or under 3500 miles per year. Just a note for people to check on. Thanks John, great site.

Hi John. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot. I have a 77 MGB, and am in the process of rewiring the aftermarket fuel pump. (it was wired ot the battery with a light switch!!!) The inertia switch appears to be removed, so I am looking for the white wire from the ignition and/or overdrive lockout sw. Any video advice on that subject would be cool. thanks again for all you do!

Hi John,

Thanks for all the great videos. Theyve proved invaluable while working through various faults in my car. Would it be possible to detail how the solenoid actuating mechanism works in a Laycock LH type overdrive? I nearly destroyed my overdrive cause I assembled it wrong and put the ballbearing in the wrong place (the overdrive stuck on, even in reverse). A video would have avoided this. Thanks in advance.

To John and your entire crew -
I cannot begin to thank you enough for these invaluable videos. I am undertaking my first resto (a '76 MGB), and have actually cleaned op my old laptop and moved it into my garage so I can sit at the car, watch the video, pause it, attempt to recreate what I've seen, curse a little, and repeat.
All of your videos are clear, concise, and much easier to work from than the horrible black & white pictures in the ******* manual. I look forward to driving my restored B, with a small plaque in it that reads "Restored with the help and expertise of John Twist".
Thanks again!
Rob Reynolds
