God does not exist?
If by 'exist' you mean it has to consist of matter, or it has to have some sort of form.. Existence is that which emanates from God, but forget that 'name'. Creation is that which emanates from the Creator. Knowing the Creator is to know yourself is to know the purpose and intent of your creation. Form is that which emanates form the Formless. The One giving birth to the Two, giving birth to the Ten Thousand Things. As long as you equate God with Religion you'll be stuck in your atheist-rut, fighting left-brain concepts instead of confronting reality. I've been there. the one below me says there is no God, but religion is a tool to be used. It's a matter of psychology. A lot of confusion going around. |

You are wrong, friend. Even if there is no god, religion, properly applied, enriches our lives. That's why I'm agnostic- I don't believe in any magic men in the sky, but pray to various gods to gain their qualities. It works too. It's all in the mind, a matter of psychology.

Wouldn't attempting to view the world logically and "without clouding your judgment with fear, guilt, love, duty or anything else" one is also removing themselves from everything that makes us human? The feeling of fear, the weight of guilt, the ability to love, and the sense of duty all contribute to our overall collective conscious that sets us so far apart and above all other creatures on Earth.
Quick question though: do atheists (Atheists? is it a proper noun?) take everything the scientific community says as truth? Accepting scientific findings without a grain of salt would be just as criminal as what you claim organized religions do. I'm not trying to enrage anyone; I just hope to stimulate a little critical thinking. |
