I am a devout Christian. Jesus Christ's number one quality he tried to instill in people is compassion. That is why I'm a Democrat. The Democratic Party is Christ-like by helping the poor, expanding health coverage, making education more affordable, and practicing peace by ending the war in Iraq.

I'm no fan of abortion, but it doesn't keep me from the party, who I know overall is far better for people than the greedy corporate-minded GOP. The GOP also treats gay people like 2nd class citizens. They should at least be entitled to civil unions - basic civil rights - because that's what America is all about.

On this Memorial Day, rethink your decision to be a McCain supporter. We can begin a phased withdrawal if you simply vote Dem.
