Q: A Weavel Montage? I thought you quit MPH Templar.
A: True, I did quit, competitive play that is. I even sold my gamecard. The gamecard that I used to make this masterpiece was kindly sent to me via mail by Weavel veteran KefkaIIV. There is a small story behind this as well. Before I left Nsider, I was running a Video Archive containing matches against many skilled players from NS and GF. I was drafting ideas to create a second montage featuring the abilities of Weavel. I noticed there was a lot more potential to make something far greater than my first montage "My Life for Weavel". It clearly shows in this video, how proper equipment along with time and quality can make something shine. This project was made in a span of over 4 months, from 350 recorded Wi-Fi matches. That's 40 hours of recorded gameplay. Even though finding competitive players while avoiding hackers is somewhat hard on random searching, I still had more than enough matches for flexibility.
Q: Great Quality, how did you do it?
A: I experimented a lot on this. I actually spent a whole week researching how to take your DS apart and directly capture the top screen of your Nintendo DS. I found it expensive and somewhat dangerous, so I invested in the next best thing - Dockable Webcams. I used a lego dock, and purchased a Lifecam, which allows me to have near perfect off-screen quality, and maintain a steady capture during any match I record. I will show a video showing the method I used in greater detail if demand for it is high enough. The only downside is that you need to look at your Nintendo DS at a slight angle, since the webcam is docked right smack in front of it. Does it decrease your gameplay preformance? I haven't experimented, but it may slightly. The cost however is well worth it, than a capture of a little blurry topscreen moving around the video. It makes it hard to keep focused on and is unattractive. Not only the screen is completely cropped in the video, but no angle is present either. This makes special effects generated in Sony Vegas, more effective and attractive, as shown in my video.

Q: The video, how long did this actually take to make?
A: Like said, in a span of 4 months, but I wasn't working on it everyday. Family problems, school, work, and basically offline life interfered a lot with this project. For my next project, there will be less interference. Hopefully it will even be better than this project.
Q: Can I have your FC?
A: I will post my FC somewhere on YouTube when I'm casually playing again. In fact, all of the footage used in this montage is probably a month old. However, right now I have more important things to do. Although I enjoy this game for fun and challenge, there will be plenty other games that I will explore and bring my content to YouTube.
Q: Is your next project another MPH Montage? Will we ever see more Weavel videos from you?
A: I can tell you that my next project is not going to be related to MPH or Metroid in general. It's going to be a tribute to a completely different game, one of my personal favorites. Since I like to keep my projects surprises, my third project will be a different game as well. The titles displayed on my Channel do hint as to what's coming. Research the riddling names if you want. This is a video when I'm going to defeat Umbra (one of the strongest NPC's in TES IV: Oblivion) on the hardest difficulty level.I didn't use any cheats at all, nor any mods with uberequipment. Feel free to ask any questions and I hope you enjoy watching it.
There have been some people asking for my equipment. So for those who want to know I only use equipment for the looks, they are no better than the armor the game provides.
The sword is from a mod called "Adonnay's Elven Weaponry" and the Cape is from a mod called "Armory of the Silver Dragon"
Yes, my character is level 54 and has 100 spell absorption ánd 100 reflect damage and I achieved that without cheats or mods! I'm not going to write it down because it would ruin the fun of discovering how to do it (it took me a while to get to the right levels and acquiring the items).
So theoretically I'm invincible but poisons, arrows, reflect spell and reflect damage can still hurt me.
