ABOUT ME:

My name is Hassan (also known as DJ Hasouni), and I'm a Music Producer-Rapper-Songwriter from Lebanon. I was born in the year 1990, but I currently live and study in Canada. I started getting involved with music in 2006 where I found the program called Cool Edit Pro (now known as Adobe Audition). With that program, and a cheap microphone, I started to experiment around and basically started to rap. I started enjoying the fact that I can basically create my own songs in the comfort of my home, so I decided to upgrade my recording equipment and start taking my music seriously by self-teaching myself the skills of engineering audio (ie: Mixing and Mastering Vocals, etc).

As time passed by; my flow and rhymes started to get a lot better and people started to notice my talent from the music I uploaded onto my myspace and soundclick music pages. The quality of my music started to become a lot better and I basically established a great foundation on my music career. I also began to interact with other underground rappers and artists both locally and worldwide, which resulted in collaboration tracks.

On December 8th 2006, a massive snow storm hit my area where I was living at the time and basically school was cancelled and I was stuck at home bored out of my mind doing nothing. As the day went by; I decided to try out a music production program called Fruity Loops (also known as FL Studios) and experiment around with it. I spent hours that day just playing around with the settings and sounds that FL Studios had to offer. In no time, I was creating cool sounding drum patterns along with basic melodies. I further increased my knowledge of FL Studios by reading and watching tutorials that were provided on the internet. Alongside of mastering the functions and interface of FL Studios; I taught myself some basic piano theory such as notes, scales and chords. At some points of time I felt like quitting but I stayed at it and continued teaching myself all the necessities required in order to become a great music producer/beat maker.

After the process of teaching all what I can teach to myself relating to FL Studios, I started to tackle the harder task; creating the first beat. This task, at first, was very difficult, but as time went by and as I got more experienced, creating a beat was quite simple. Now, I am able to create Hip Hop and R&B beats alongside of Techno, Trance and Dance music and remixes!

After a couple beats, I started posting my music onto youtube and people really enjoyed them! From that day forward I started to produce more beats rather than rap. All I now need is the continuing support of my fans and hopefully I can make it to the top! Thanks goes out to all my fans and the people that listen and love my music!
