My first profession is Architect, then I studied History of Arts and History of Music, parallel I became teacher for Math and Music. After University I became Manager of the Lower Saxony Music Council in Hannover/Germany. Two years later I went to Bonn to the German Music Council and became Deputy Secretary General and organized the 1st National German Choir Competition 1982 in Cologne/Germany. From 1984 to 2006 I was the first Director of the Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf. During this time I founded the International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf 1989 and the Festival Musica Sacra International in 1992. Both Festivals are since that time organized alternativaly every year. from 1995-2000 I served as Secretary General of Europa Cantat. From 2002 until 2008 I was Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation for Choral Music (www.ifcm.net). I'm also President of the big choral music database www.musicanet.org
2002-2009 I was Treasurer of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM).
