I largely agree with what you're saying, but I don't really see the use in adding on terminologies. What does it serve to call the brain or consciousness by another term like "the soul"? The term is so often associated with other meanings that it would seem a bad idea, because you'd be confusing some people and clarifying it all the time.

Furthermore, the type of frontal lobotomies you are referring to (by making a hole in the orbital socket and scrambling the brain with a hook) is not a procedure that is actually done anymore by any neurosurgeon in the modern world. It was, at one time, common, and it was barbaric, but just because modern surgery was derived from blood letting and hacking limbs off from minor infections, doesn't invalidate all the usefulness of modern surgery. Do you see how thoroughly brainwashed you are? You are parroting Scientology's rhetoric against proven theories of neurophysiology.

The reality is, most modern sciences were derived from primitive and barbaric methods. Psychiatry, in the present day, does not use electro-shock therapy as casually as it once did. There is a very narrow band of ailments which electroshock therapy can and has benefited people. It is a very broad and indiscriminate means of arresting brain activity but pace makers for the brain and spinal chord have been and are being effectively used to treat a range of neurological disease, from epilepsy to tourette's syndrome. |

The essence that is "I" ego wise is an illusion yes. The essence "I" as apart from everyone and everything else is an illusion as well. For the same "I" you label yourself as is the same "I" that I am, or in my world at least. We are all the same, the same consciousness, which does in fact exist. Once we lose use of our bodies we return to the wholeness of consciousness, relieved from all pain and only receive purification until we are set another path we choose. Otherwise, we can base ourselves as just physical beings perceiving bullshit just waiting to die and be forgotten forever. But there's evidence of reincarnation so there's a lot more going on or so I think!?

For the record, I do have a life. I'm making a living as an illustrator and concept designer. A good living. I talk to interesting and famous people. People admire me and my work. Lots of people. It's not that I have a lot of time on my hands, it's that I have 2 functioning eyes. The evidence is so obvious that you would HAVE TO be brain washed not to see it. Youtube's videos are grainy, the DVD is clear as a bell. Then there's the stuff about the gun shots and spray paint. You'd think with all the cameras around Scientology centers, they'd include the footage of that on the dvd...or even give it to the news or police. But they don't! Why? Curiouser and curiouser...
