does the lag switch connect for ur system ( xbox 360 ) to ur router??

ok i've tried both wires and a still lag out every time i flip the swich
what should i do to fix this

do u turn it on to make the lag???
cause i turn it on but i get disconnected..
should i try the green wire?

wen u make a lag switch wut do u hook it up 2 tha PC & router or router & 360
