They should provide you with painkillers, I had mine done about 12 hours ago and I was fine for the first hour or so. Then it started to hurt and I didn't take painkillers, I just got a pack of ice and numbed my face then went to sleep, I just woke up and I'm glad to say I don't have any pain in my jaw or my tooth. You'll be fine, people over exagerate about the pain. My dentist didn't prove me with any but they did say it would be sore for a couple of days. Just get someone in your house to buy some from the shop while you are there.
