I saw your comment on a creationism vs evolution video, regarding the usage of the word "theory".

I hapen to whole-heartedly agree with you, and it's quite a common mantra amongst creationists to say "It's just a theory" in regard to evolution, cheapening the actual value of a theory.

There seems to be some common misconception that theory merely means that someone has dreamed it up, or conceptualised it, like all of a sudden "I have a theory about gravity".

This of course, is ridiculous, because in science, it does not become a "theory" until basically every article of evidence points to it as being accurate. If there is even a shred of evidence to the contrary, it would not be a "theory".
So yes, I share your frustration with the whole "it's just a theory" mantra induced by Christians everywhere.
