How to make a great AMV

I think the key to make a great AMV is: First, the song. Obviously there are the most differente kind of songs for the most different kind of people, but it would be better if you went for the most famous ones, otherwise, few people will watch it. Another thing about the song, is that it has to fit the anime, and the rythm you'll put in your video (for example, if you're making a battle video, use faster and/or heavier songs). Second, you choose a theme, it's gotta be fit with the song (for example, an AMV of Naruto, theme: battle of Naruto and Sasuke). Third, don't just go throwing scenes at your videos, choose them carefully and think it over before putting the whole thing together. Fourth, try to use as much episodes or scenes you can, it sure is troublesome, it'll take sometime to upload all the videos, but it's way better than an AMV that uses the same scene three or four times, that sucks. Fifth, if it's possible, try to find videos without subtitles, that's hard sometimes, and I have lots of problems in this part too. Sixth, try to follow the music's rhythm when making it, for example, don't put a fight scene when the music is slow, unless it really really fits. Seventh, timing. Timing it's important, it doesn't need to be perfect on every milisecond, but it's better if the cut of the scenes followed the music, and you can divide it in parts, so you don't have to worry about this all the time (for example, you separate in verses, and chorus, while doing the verses, you don't have to worry so much about that, but try synching it to a high point when you pass to the chorus). Eighth, don't get hold to ideas that AMVs gotta have lip synch, or lot of effects or any other thing, your AMV can be just as good (or even better) than any of those. Nineth, and most important of all, your AMV gotta be deep, it's gotta be not something you can just watch, but you really gotta feel it, you have to be sucked in when you're seeing it, your primary objective is to make people feel the same thrill, love, excitment and all kind of emotions put in it, that's the most essencial part, if you can accomplish that, it doesn't matter if your AMV has subtitles, it's not lip synched, it's low on effects, or even if it doesn't have that much scenes or a real high quality, it'll be a success
