Malcolm influences almost everything I do here on You Tube, acting in Indie films and even when I sing. I envy his physical grace (he's easily the most graceful actor of his generation as well as today's) and I try to emulate his acting as much as I can. I also respect his work ethic and how he's a very private public figure yet not a recluse.
He has the gift of eternal youth too and is a natural comedian as well as one of the world's best looking men.
(when it comes to famous men, it's literally Paul Newman, Pete Townshend and Malcolm McDowell and then everyone else as far as resplendently blue eyes go!)

I'm very sad that I will never meet his mentor Lindsay Anderson but I enjoy reading reminiscences about him by Malcolm and writers like Alan Bennett. I do fancy myself a female Mick Travis at times!

"I get asked more questions about this video then any of the others. This was my first attempt at trying to tell a story with our rudimentary camera as well as pay homage to one of Pete Townshend's best known songs as performed by Third of Never. As I was calling out the opening titles to Brian from his Powerbook to mine (we usually try to work side by side with me directly yelling at him from a short distance) he was starting to get concerned that we still had not hit any music yet. I told him to wait and that this was going to have one of those early music video vibes to it, where the unprofessional result bolsters the music instead of slick camera work making up for crappy tunes and I think we succeeded. I would have liked to have spent more timed editing down the long shots though but he wasn't having any of it so I at least try to not work friends TOO hard! The boxes in what was my former room are no longer there and the spruced up version can be seen at the end of my outtakes video. (I feel the need to let the internet know I cleaned my room for some perverse reason.) If you look closely while I'm watching Russ Meyer ("I'm an aficionado of the breast..." ) you can see that my left hand is very red around the thumb and wrist which I try to hide. I spilled scalding hot coffee on it a few minutes before we were filming and I had the scariest burn imaginable for about three weeks afterwards. Isn't amazing how at 1.09 the Teddy Bear lands perfectly? That was not planned. The picture of Lynda Carter is on the back of a decoupage box I made during my first trip to England in 1997. I actually made it during craft time while working as nanny then had to safeguard it from getting squashed during the rest of my journey. The tree with the bees was quite dangerous to film and is supposed to symbolize an orgasm. The shot of me on the blanket having something between a pinup pose session and a seizure was all improvised. The big question about this vid: Am I going commando? Like that famous sweet candy commercial with the owl trying to find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop; the world may never know..."

"Brian my best friend and cameramen moved to Poland in Summer 2007 so there I was with a Powerbook, Imovie and some stock footage. It's definitly novice city film making wise but as for view count it's cleared well over a million hits so I must have done something right!
The first shots in the Rita Hayworth sarong shorts were taken at a Mexican Cantina in North Beach, San Francisco. The shot of my bosoms in the car was on our way back down Hwy 80 to San Francisco singing Pete Townshend's wonderful demo for "The Seeker" from his delightful Meher Baba tribute a disc "Who Came First" which cuts in for a few mystical seconds when I'm on the escalator at the Maida Vale tube station in London during summer 2006. I'm wearing "People for Peace Indian Dream catcher jeans with rawhide whip stitching up the sides and they were seriously tight!
Most of the other still shots are of my old neighborhood in Bethnal Green by the Old Shoreditch Church, Hackney near the Boundary bandstand. The Bach piece is the 4-part voice chorale "Wir essen und wir leben wohl" from Christ lag in Todesbanden. Paul Robeson actually does a splendid version with lyrics on his legendary Carnegie Hall disc. Brian recorded all four parts on piano to help himself learn the bass part. That's actually him playing the piano.
But among all the Boobs and Bach the most incredible thing is that they could not steal this video away with a bogus copyright claim which amazingly enough Zomba Label group claimed against me and for nearly five days I raged, along with my attorney, Brett Hampton, against the idiocy that is You Tube "copyright violation" until my video and suspended account were justifiably restored. So while this is not my most technical proficient clip it IS DEFINITELY my most controversial video."

"This was definitly a tribute to Russ Meyer's editing style which was stop on a dime and sharp as a knife especially in his later films. I did close to seven edits until I was happy with it. Much of the boob bouncing footage I shot of myself on morning by looking in the mirror. I guess it borders on egotistical to do THIS much editing around myself but between the music, the sunshine and the anti anorexia vibe I find this clip quixotically patriotic and pro-healthy!"

But I look at Amanda's videos and actually don't have the urge to call her a slut, even though the focus is most definitely on her body. And she has an amazing hour glass shaped body. But I have to hand it to the girl. She has found a very affective way to become popular on You Tube using her "assets" so to speak without joining a porn site and without coming across as completely inappropriate. Now, I'm sure there are some people out there that may deem her videos as inappropriate, but for the most part, you can't really dub them as that. She's not showing any nudity. Cleavage, yes, oh yes, lots and lots of cleavage...but shoot girl, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? What girl with that kind of body do you know doesn't show her cleavage?? Her videos are on the edge of teasing without being blunt about it. You can tell she enjoys her body and is proud of it...she's not being cheap about it in the least bit.
So, you may be asking, how was she my inspiration to start a youtube channel? I realized how affective youtube can be in gaining followers, popularity, etc. after seeing Amanda's channel and how simple the concept was. I determined I could accomplish the same following - I just had to figure out how to attract a crowd like Amanda. I do not have her body shape by any means. Besides, there's always that deep feeling of "I don't want to be a copy cat." I'm still currently trying to figure out at the moment how to attract a crowd to my channel. I have found that videos of puppies get spread fairly quickly like a virus. Who doesn't like cute, cuddly puppies?
Nevertheless, Super Amanda never ceases to amaze me with her shameless body focused videos and the huge following she has accrued without receiving any resentment from a woman like myself and especially none from all the men out there.

"The black high cut panties make my butt look funny but as this was my first time EVER getting that exposed for the public it made me feel comfortable to not be completely "out there." I think the fruit striped gum bikini is the most flattering because you can see my uncorseted hourglass figure and my butt looks cute. I'm still shocked at how many You Tubers expect all women to have Vida Guerra or Jlo's mega super star ass. It's like if I expected all men to have huge, porn star... well you know! It's funny to have DD boobs and then realize your ass is only about a 'C Cup.' If I actually had a superstar shelf ass with my body type and height I doubt I could ever sit down! I'd also need small calves to create that disproportional visual effect which I could never get used to as I have serious gams. My subscribers were getting VERY annoyed because I kept put it off. Truth be told, getting in a bikini in front of the world without all the Hollywood trappings of lighting, makeup, retouching (yes they even retouch live action frames)or a teenage body is kind of jarring. I ended up with a great deal of respect for ANYONE famous who takes it all off or nearly off. I'm still proud to NOT have a very thin body and yet be rocking bikini online. This is definitely my most popular and loved clip and I look forward to repeating the event for this upcoming summer 2008"

Amanda's stage acting credits are too numerous to note here but include Opera Non Troppo's "King Arthur" (2002) and "Dido and Aeneas" (2000) Super Amanda has also performed regularly at both The Starry Plough and LePena Cultural Center in Berkeley and at Columbia College Jazz Festival (1999).
In April 2006 Super Amanda made a very memorable guest appearance on British singer-songwriter Rachel Fuller's live webcast chat show "In The Attic" appearing alongside The Who's Pete Townshend and co-host singer-songwriter Mikey Cuthbert. Pete Townshend famously described Super Amanda to Rolling Stone magazine as being 'larger than life.'

"The lighting is awful, I look sort of like a drag queen/ Movie theater cashier but the video has accrued over 2 million hits and I'm out there as a mega hourglass twisting my way to external oblique glory. The corset is one of those inexpensive ones with no real internal boning or busk so it's actually very comfortable. It's a beloved piece I wear in a lot of my videos.
I uploaded this on a Thursday night, went for a swim and came back an hour later and I'd cleared over 20,000 hits. It was tops on the most viewed charts for weeks and then had all time People and Blogs honors for about seven months which was fun. Not bad considering I almost never used this footage at all. I'm really glad now that I did. With so few hip to waist ratios anywhere anymore, I need to stake my claim as "The Last Hourglass Standing"TM

Women with an hour-glass figure have brains to go with their curves, scientists claim.
Going in at the waist is said to be a sign of intelligence which leads to brighter children, too.
Women such as Nigella Lawson with a big difference between their waist and hip measurements scored significantly better in tests than those with leaner, straighter frames.
Researchers concluded that it was not necessary for a woman to be skinny -- what mattered was that her waist should be smaller than her hips. A ratio of 3:5 was found to be ideal.
The study, by the Universities of Pittsburgh and California, involved 16,000 women and girls.
According to the scientists, the results are no mere quirk of nature. They claim that the fat around curvy hips and thighs holds higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for the growth of the brain during pregnancy.
The fat which collects around the waist, however, is more likely to contain omega-6 fatty acids, which are less suited to brain growth.
Reporting in the journal Evolution and Human Behaviour, the researchers found that the children of curvy mothers are more likely to do well in cognitive tests than others
