onedotzero is a hybrid organization: a cross-media production company and an acclaimed international network of events. Pioneering in its vision, onedotzero champions and explores new forms of moving image, celebrating the next generation of creators. Its activities range from a DVD label to events, education to publishing, and consultancy to productions.

onedotzero was conceived at the start of the desktop digital revolution in the mid-1990s out of a desire to explore moving image across single screen, interactive and live audio-visual work. Today, onedotzero remains the site for contemporary creative collisions, and is committed to providing a home for visionary moving image experimentation.

onedotzero has become a global phenomenon, its network of events annually reaching over 60 cities worldwide and thousands of people. It has been the largest dedicated digital film festival in the world since 1999. Since its inception, onedotzero has collated and commissioned hundreds of hours of original programming for its festival, events, DVD and other projects.

In Screen International magazine's 25th anniversary issue onedotzero was named as one of the top ten visionaries of the UK film industry, alongside Ridley Scott and Lynne Ramsey.

onedotzero's tenth anniversary in 2006 was marked with a series of ground-breaking special events at some of the UK's leading art institutions, including onedotzero_transvision at the Victoria and Albert Museum, onedotzero_amour at the Tate Modern, and onedotzero_ metamorphosis at the Hayward Gallery.

The onedotzero DVD label, launched in 2001, distributes and sells around the world. onedotzero_select dvd5, the fifth edition in the select DVD series is out now, featuring a compilation of the most progressive moving images from around the world.

The book onedotzero Motion Blur 2 and accompanying DVD by Shane RJ Walter was released in January 2008 to critical acclaim, and is available worldwide.

onedotzero has produced and directed the standout TV series onedottv and onedottv_global for the UK's Channel 4, and has produced and commissioned award-winning short films, interactive media, installations, exhibitions and live AV shows.

It has developed a distinctive catalogue of shorts for distribution, making it one of the most progressive content providers in the world, able to deliver compelling work for any media platform. It features award-winning shorts from directors such as Run Wrake, Chris Shepherd, Chris Morris, and Adam Smith, as well as designers Psyop, The Light Surgeons, and D-Fuse. onedotzero regularly produces short films to commission and has just finished production on a series of ten short films with Richard Fenwick called User Guides.

Recent projects include the onedotzero / RIBA London commission: Wind to Light Installation by Jason Bruges studio on the Southbank, London.

onedotzero's 2007/2008 festival tour is currently traveling the globe, and onedotzero is proud to partner with the British Council for the tour: Re-Imaging the City, which is taking place in 8 cities across Asia and Australasia.
