This is the second short I ever directed (or was any part of). This was different from the first because instead of being a ridiculous and sappy melodrama, it's just fun. I was working with more experienced actors and we had much, much less trouble with anything. We shot this in less than 2 hours.
Again, I wrote the screenplay, but the story idea wasn't mine. This was for a psychology class, and was supposed to show a specific psychological structure. I wrote the script though, again, the story idea wasn't mine. I also directed, edited and authored a DVD, again in two days. Look at the first short's description for my apologies regarding the quality. It looks much better on the original DVD I made.
For this I tried not to use background music or a score, just use songs/music that is playing in the scene itself. Enjoy.

The first of two shorts that I'm going to upload. Both of these were school projects for last semester. "Jugando" ("Playing") is the very first short I ever directed. Although I also wrote the script, it was based on a girl's story idea, not mine. I obviously also edited the short and did 100% of the post-production. I wrote, shot, edited and authored a DVD for this in 2 days while working on another short. Yes, two long, long days.
I apologize about the quality. The DVD I actually presented to the teacher has perfect video quality. I deleted all the raw files in a fit of rage, so all I had left was a DVD I burnt with the short. To upload it to YouTube, I had to rip the movie from a DVD, then add the subtitles and re-render it, so of course a lot of quality was lost.
Shooting this was an enriching yet horrible experience. Working with a 5 year old girl, adorable as though she might be, is what some linguists might refer to as "A fucking nightmare". Besides that, a million things seemed to go wrong (about 30% of what we shot got deleted in an accident before I started editing and I had to work around it to still tell the story).
The script lost a LOT in the transition from page to screen. Originally, the main character returned to live with her own mother, not a friend. But we had a casting problem and the mother couldn't make it.
I was pretty happy with the screenplay itself, and I'm not with the final product. But now I've gotten over the embarrassment and am ready to upload it here. Either way, we got an "A". Beginner's luck, I suppose.
The movie's in Mexican, so I added subtitles for your understanding pleasure. The dialogue in the subs is far, far inferior to the actual Spanish dialogue. I'm pretty certain about that, anyway.
Enjoy. Full credits at the end of the short.
Oh, crap! The music isn't mine, of course. And I'm aware I'm not supposed to use licensed music without permission, but the teacher said it would not be a problem, considering it's just a random student film and isn't planning to go into any significant screen. Hopefully no one will mind.

This is my fan trailer for one of my favorite movies, and possibly the least known great movie in the history of celluloid -"Savior".
It's a touching drama, sort of a war movie, starring Dennis Quaid giving his best performance, playing possibly the most badass character I have ever seen. Everyone do yourself a favor and check "Savior" out.
Just more attempts at doing 'realistic' looking trailers. The end bit isn't as emotional as I would've wanted it to be, but hey. I'm learning. I've never seen the trailer for this movie, which is good for me. I get to be creative.
Excuse the crap quality. Not the best DVD Ripper at my disposal.
Songs used:
Audio Machine - Deep Winter (Trailer Acts Act I) Brand X Music -- Tieres (Vol. 7) Audio Machina -- Newfound Hope (Trailer Acts Act II) David Robbins - Uspavanka Lullaby (Savior OST)

Download link fixed.
So, there were some people who had showed interest in seeing the full fan-edit I made of all three "The Lion King" movies (trailer in my channel), so I managed to finish it and upload it. This promo is nothing but something I put together on a whim just to let people know that it was ready to download, so excuse me if the promo itself is a little lazy.
It's ready for download and all you have to do is PayPal me $199.99 (USD). LOLWUT.
No, that's a joke. It's free. So that's the good news. The bad news is, the file is gi-goddamn-normous. 3.8GBs to be exact, so if you're interested, you're in for a long download, divided into 9 parts of 400MBs. I copied the links to a "Read Me" file which I'm sorta forcing anyone interested to download, because it's important for you to read it. So I apologize since I've made it as complicated as it's demonically possible for it to be downloaded. The rally starts with the link beneath.

You're going to need to download WinRar to decompress the files. You need to download all nine parts to decompress; once you do, you'll end up with only one 3:20 hour long video.
Enjoy the product of hours upon hours upon hours of editing, downloading, uploading, compressing, mixing, etc, etc. This stuff really took me something around 50 hours of work to complete from conception to upload. Please use this page to comment and rate on the movie.

Same as the second sample. Work in progress, not entirely happy with it, difficult as duck. In this, tentatively the last sample of the project which is almost done (I'm 80% there), I show you the very finale of the movie.
It's actually 3:05 hours long. I'm gonna get sued for false advertising. Anyway, here it is. I managed to find another, new, version of "King of Pride Rock", managed to tie it into this scene more or less.
Excuse the possibly cheesy flashback bit, but I kinda found it important to be there.
Enjoy.

Read this.
Okay, before negative comments begin surfacing about this second sample of my editing project "The Lion King: Full Circle", there are several things I'd like to toss for consideration.
1. I'm still not totally happy with it, and it's a work in progress. 2. This thing is very fu**ing hard. By far the toughest scene in the entire thing.
Now, about some choices made. Yes, eventhough I didn't include Timon and Pumbaa's story intertwining with Simba's events before they meet, I had to include them in the Stampede scene. It's necessary thematically and for pacing reasons. After this, they don't "meet" again until they meet in the desert. Trust me, this isn't so weird when you see it with the whole movie, since it doesn't suddenly come out of nowhere, having followed Timon and Pumbaa's story parallel to Simba's.
About the changes. They're far more obvious here. First is the inclusion of Timon and Pumbaa after the Stampede starts. This is a bigger disruption, but I included that "water and shade" bit in that spot where, origianlly, the scene was 'disrupted' by Mufasa and Zazu, this way, the pacing isn't tossed out the window and it's a more proper intro.
Then, it's the very small shot of Pumbaa and Timon running in the midst of the wildebeests. This one isn't as noticable and was more or less well inserted (hopefully). And lastly, both Timon and Pumbaa flying off. I re-edit the audio here like I never had and eventhough the music changes are noticable to anyone who's familiar with the scene, the noices/etc, were re-edited by me. Go me. To keep the emotion of the scene, I didn't touch the most intense/emotional moments. Pumbaa/Timon don't return for a while to keep emotion untouched.
Again, I had to include them here, and, when you watch it in the movie itself, it works as a wider scoped story hopefully fans will enjoy. Again, trust me, it's less disrupting in context.
. . . so enjoy.

Thought the other overdubs were weird? You are not ready.
So...one man gets by the only way he can: by editing his ass off. Semester's end, a lot of time to waste and unwinding to do. Don't ask me how I came up with this strange thing, but I don't think I had really done a joke "Lion King" video. So here it is. This is a 'recut' spanning through every genre and trailer cliche ever.
Ft. Julia Roberts.
The audio wasn't made by me; audio I took ages ago from a comedy site called Modern Humorist, I changed or added nothing to the audio. I used it without authorization, hope that isn't a problem. Just to give proper credit. It was written by Karen Lurie and performed by Wilson Hall, Brian Dermody, Nick Stevens and Dyna Moe.
Neither YouTube or Modern Humorist can advocate for my stupidity. Enjoy.
(I don't know the songs, by the way)

This is a sample (whether I'm going to upload more samples or not I don't know) of my project "The Lion King: Full Circle". This is basically the opening of the movie with minor visible changes.
And seems like someone I know found a loophole or something so I may just be able to upload the whole thing to some place, not sure still where (but definitely not YouTube), so, to those who were interested, good news.
The changes are few. First the quote, then my name instead of Disney's and, of course, in the end the title "Full Circle" appearing. Whooshing sound also mine.
Well, just a reminder. Although it says "Leon Sakau Presents", I'm not really presenting crap since I didn't do the movie, I'm just changing it to add a little flavor to the fan-edit. Enjoy.
Heads up, some minor 'lag-like' instances are because I messed up in the rendering process, those would be cleaned in a final version.
Visit my channel for the project's trailer.

A fan-trailer for the "Resident Evil" movie adaptation by Paul W.S. Anderson.
Not much to say. Tried some things, failed in a lot, you'll have to tell me how it fares. I just found out trying to make 'professional' trailers is much harder than it looks. Damn.
But I did like the titles I did in After Effects, finally learned how to really use that thing, and I more or less liked the music editing (not so much the voices because that was tough as hell for this movie). I was trying to stay far from the original trailer which I don't like so much, but of course I did use two or three bits from it, since we're telling the same story, we naturally use some of the same scenes.
Keeping with the "make this professional", I tried to use only one artist for the music of the entire trailer.
Anyway, enjoy, comments please.
